Meet Duong Truong Thien Ly, the Vietnamese contestant of Miss World 2008. Duong Troung Thien Ly was picked as a candidate by the Vietnamese authorities to represent her country just days ago. The original candidate should be Miss Vietnam 2008, Tran Thi Thuy Dung. But when Thuy Dung, 18, was found out being a high school drop-out, she was disqualified by the government. After months of scouring a fit beauty, Vietnam has finally selected Duong Truong Thien Ly, the 2nd runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam 2008. There are plenty of info about Duong Truong Thien Ly on the websites from Vietnam. But because we are not Vietnamese language savvy, we can not provide a detailed bio for Thien Ly, other than knowing she is 20 years old and stands169cm tall. Miss World 2008 Beauty Pageants will be staged at Sandton Convention Centre in South Africa’s Johannesburg on 13 December, 2008.
